I can't believe I used to think The Bible was boring as a child (cradle Catholic). Reading it as a 40yr old is so incredibly emotional and I crave my morning and bedtime readings. Your breakdowns are so helpful and enjoyable.
Job started rough for me lol I was lost. It definitely all came together towards the end. I can appreciate the perseverance (on Job and me 😆) Excited for a bit more of Enoch and Exodus. I’ve said it before, but my soul has been craving this, it’s totally being fed.
Thank you Adrian ❤️ I am really loving this study so much and I am deepening in my relationship with the Lord as I deepen my knowledge and understanding (although I now feel after proverbs that both knowledge and understanding, along with wisdom, are not ‘mine’ but instead spirits / entities that are with us rather than part of us).
Anyway, here are some things that have come up for me this week.
I was intrigued to read in 1 Enoch 77:1 that in the south the Most High will descend, because I’ve come across theories out there that speculate that secret antediluvian stuff is hidden in Antarctica. I’ve also heard theories (satan’s little season theory is one) that the camp of the saints would be at the North Pole, and suggestions that the northern lights is the glory of the throne of God seeping through to us.
That verse from Enoch stood out to me, too. Interesting theory on Antarctica, I've never heard that before, but have heard that about the Northern Lights! At some point within the last 4-5 years, I saw someone share a photo of the Northern Lights (the true Northern Nights, not whatever made up stuff people in the South think was the Northern Lights), and in that photo, it literally looked like a huge/tall person standing. I wish I'd saved it!
Oh wow now that sounds really cool. I’m firing to remember where I heard it / saw it but I’m certain it was listening to Dan Duval on The Deep End podcast. He was talking about underground bases on Antarctica. I’m sure I’ve heard it elsewhere too.
Yes absolutely. I saw it very clearly in proverbs 3:13 onwards but my revelation came with this verse “By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew.”
So wisdom and understanding appear to be separate entities to the Lord at the point of the creation, but knowledge is “his”. Like the earth, wisdom is also personified as “she” and like so many things in the bible, I don’t just think Solomon is being poetic.

I enjoyed this video talking about Job. I like all the Bible Project videos actually. :) https://youtu.be/W8DQ64qd-qU?si=AiTXxFcbGgmif38n
He's referring to this video in the above video: https://youtu.be/xQwnH8th_fs?si=ZKyGiR7MjXlR6VZT
Don’t apologize, love the long breakdowns!

Interesting take on wisdom and understanding! Like the spirit of fear or depression.

Can’t wait to watch The Prince of Egypt this weekend 🤣
Had to chat gpt it up for the luminaries 🥴🥴🥴. I liked these two blurbs it generated :
On the structure and order of the cosmos:
“This is a big theological point: creation obeys God perfectly, even when humans and angels don’t”
“Time itself testifies
Creation silently witnesses against human disorder.”
So Psalm 74:14 gives evidence that God ended the Leviathan and that it had more than one head!
“You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food [for the people] for the creatures of the wilderness.”
We might not have to worry that Leviathan is still out there… since he terrified even the angels, I am relieved. 🤣
The cliffhanger of this week is a pop-off, isn't it!?
I love the mention of the "secret arts" of the Egyptian magicians... almost like the secret knowledge of the fallen angels...
